As a Sheet Metal Mechanic at Volotea, you’ll work at the heart of our aircraft maintenance operations. Your expertise will help ensure the structural integrity, safety, and reliability of our fleet.

You will fabricate, repair, and install sheet-metal components following aviation standards, manuals, and engineering specifications. How will it be to work with us?

• Read & Inspect: Read and interpret plans, technical diagrams, manuals; conduct detailed visual inspections for dents, loose fixings, missing labels, structural damage; record/report anomalies for efficient repairs.

• Prepare & Maintain: Prepare workspace, verify tools/materials; perform preventive/corrective maintenance on aeronautical sheet metal structures/components.

• Execute Repairs: Carry out repairs per aviation regulations, Part 145 requirements, safety standards; maintain full documentation (work orders, reports, inspections, consumables).

• Workspace Safety: Keep work area clean/secure, follow tool management, PPE procedures; ensure all work meets aviation safety norms and internal standards.

• Collaborate & Document: Work closely with technicians/engineers; document all interventions clearly for traceability, audit compliance, and smooth deadline execution.

What will make you succeed in this position:

• Proven work experience as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role.

• Knowledge of aviation standards and regulations (Human Factors, EWIS, FTS-Level II, AVSAF, AVSEC)

• Experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.

• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and sketches.

• Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.

Comment sera votre quotidien avec nous ?

• Lire & Inspecter: Lire/interpréter plans, schémas, manuels ; inspections visuelles détaillées pour bosses, fixations desserrées, étiquettes manquantes, dommages ; enregistrer/signaler anomalies.

• Préparer & Maintenir: Préparer zone de travail, vérifier outils/matériaux ; maintenance préventive/corrective sur structures/composants tôlerie aéronautique.

• Exécuter Réparations: Réaliser réparations selon réglementations aéronautiques, Part 145, normes sécurité ; tenir documentation à jour (ordres, rapports, inspections, consommables).

• Sécurité Zone: Maintenir zone propre/sécurisée, respecter gestion outils, EPIs ; veiller conformité normes sécurité aéronautique et standards internes.

• Collaborer & Documenter: Travailler étroitement avec techniciens/ingénieurs ; documenter interventions clairement pour traçabilité, audits et respect délais.

• Connaissance des normes aéronautiques (Facteurs Humains, EWIS, FTS-Level II, AVSAF, AVSEC).

• Maîtrise des outils manuels, électroportatifs et équipements spécialisés.

• Capacité à lire et interpréter plans, spécifications et croquis.

• Excellente dextérité manuelle et bonne condition physique.

• Diplôme d’enseignement secondaire ou équivalent ; une formation professionnelle ou apprentissage dans un domaine technique est un atout.
