CAMO Engineer
Ensure engine reliability, compliance, and efficiency by managing technical documentation, maintenance support, monitoring, and technical coordination.
Hello! We are Volotea, the airline of the small and mid-sized cities in Europe.
Picture this: Every day, you’re at the heart of our operations, ensuring our fleet remains airworthy. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key role in keeping our aircrafts safe, compliant, and reliable.. That’s the challenge and excitement of being a CAMO Engineer at Volotea! ✈️
Here’s what you’ll experience day-to-day:
- Ensuring Compliance & Airworthiness:
You’ll analyze, review, and distribute Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (VSBs), and other OEM documentation to ensure compliance across our fleet. Keeping our aircraft and engines airworthy starts with the details.
- Creating & Managing Technical Documentation:
You’ll issue engineering orders and bulletins, administer and distribute technical documentation for aircraft, powerplants, and nacelles, ensuring that every update is properly implemented and communicated.
- Supporting Engine & APU Maintenance:
You’ll work directly with CFM56-5B engines, 131-9A and APS3200 APUs, overseeing maintenance and ensuring optimal performance. You’ll also track engine and APU shop visits, forecasting future needs to keep everything running smoothly.
- Providing Cross-Departmental Support:
You’ll collaborate with Planning, MCC, and Transitions teams, offering technical expertise and assistance. Whether it’s troubleshooting, preparing work packages, or supporting maintenance events, your input will be key to efficient operations.
- Driving Reliability & Cost Efficiency:
You’ll perform reliability analyses to identify trends and enhance operational efficiency, helping reduce costs while maintaining high performance standards. Every insight you provide helps improve long-term fleet reliability.
- Monitoring Engine Health:
You’ll track and assess engine health parameters and alerts, ensuring early detection of potential issues and minimizing downtime. Your monitoring will help keep our fleet operating at peak performance.
- Managing Engine Transitions:
From phase-ins to phase-outs, you’ll oversee the entire engine lifecycle, preparing end-of-lease documentation and ensuring smooth transitions between aircraft and powerplants.
- Hands-On Maintenance Support:
Occasionally, you’ll act as a technical representative during aircraft base maintenance events, providing expertise and ensuring that work is carried out according to plan.
